Owner + Creator + Educator
HI, I'm Cami! The owner and creator of Cami Gonzalez Calligraphy Studio, previously known as Chalky Hand by Cami. I am a self taught modern calligrapher and floral illustrator from Puerto Rico, currently living in Frederick, MD. I graduated with two degrees in Microbiology and Biology but stopped working when my daughter was born. My calligraphy journey started in October 2015 when I created my daughter's first birthday chalkboard. Since then I have not stopped creating, which is a side of me I didn't know I had.
I love the sentimental value when something is handwritten, it's a personal touch that can bring so much joy and memories.
Whether it is through my calligraphy workshops, events or custom work, my goal is to make every creative piece with passion and quality and I want you to have the best experience during the process.
Wedding and Events Services
My wedding and events services range from envelope calligraphy to day-of details, (such as signage, place/escort cards, vow books, custom calligraphy) to custom work (wedding song, vows) to display at home, to hand engraving and live calligraphy.
Live Events
From brand activations to corporate events, calligraphy and engraving live events help evolve your guest relationship by making the experience more meaningful and engaging.
Calligraphy Education
I have taught students brush calligraphy and pointed pen calligraphy through in-person and online workshops. Anyone can learn!
